When individuals consider traveling or living abroad, they usually do a type of mental, physical, and spiritual "cost benefit analysis" or "return on investment" on one of the main essentials of living... Food! But, with a little time, research, and know how, one can adapt... Depending on your Myers Briggs I vs. E personality score :-)
The first picture is a very fine meal we enjoyed with some new local friends; they own a local "Ace Hardware" store. We enjoyed Crawfish (I(Daddy) found it funny that I had to travel to the other side of the world to learn that I love a Southern Dish) and Stir Fry. The Stir Fry was so good, the best I have ever eaten. So much so, that when I asked for the recipe, they said, "We will buy the food and bring it to your house and cook it for you", {that is the local face saving custom of Bobby Crabtree telling you he would not give you the recipe for his potato salad, baked beans, or BBQ Sauce :-)
The pizza is hand shredded Italian Mozzarella, purchased form the local import store (we will eat that about, oh, every 3 months), ground pork (beef is way too expensive), and grilled chicken...
